About Allyson

Allyson Sylvia Terwillegar is an artist and designer based in Enniskillen, Ontario, specializing in commissioned artwork.

With a foundation in fine art and a diverse background in graphic design and home improvement, Allyson brings a thoughtful, personalized approach to every project she takes on. Her commissioned pieces—ranging from pet portraits and house illustrations to large-scale murals—are rooted in a deep appreciation for storytelling through visual art.

Allyson’s creative journey began with a love for drawing and painting, which naturally evolved into a broader interest in design and aesthetics. She went on to study graphic design in college, where she explored both traditional and digital mediums. A placement with her school’s athletic department helped hone her skills in branding, large-format design, and digital engagement—an experience that laid the groundwork for her professional design career.

After graduation, she continued to expand her creative skill set, briefly working in web development before shifting toward a more hands-on approach. Her time as a professional residential painter reignited her passion for home aesthetics and craftsmanship, offering new ways to apply her artistic eye in real-world settings.

Today, Allyson works as the Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer for a real estate company with an in-house staging team and retail store, where she leads visual campaigns, real estate marketing and brand development. Outside of her full-time role, she remains dedicated to commissioned art… creating one-of-a-kind pieces that capture personal stories, meaningful spaces and places, and the unique charm of her clients’ lives.

Whether painting a beloved pet, illustrating a family home, or transforming a space, Allyson’s work is driven by a desire to create something lasting, personal, and beautiful.
